There should be a contract when politicians make promises

Politicians can say anything that they want in order to get us to vote for them, but then renegade on those promises without repercussions. Surely this is not right?
Don’t forget, they are PAID do do as we have asked.
Take Brexit for example. We VOTED to leave Europe YEARS ago and yet we are still in the European Union.
Meanwhile, the politicians are still getting paid, much more than the average wage!
